Ash Wednesday is March 2, 2022, so today we’re highlighting just a few of the many Ignatian-inspired features designed to help you observe Lent.
Pray with Fr. Joe Tetlow, SJ, in our daily e-mail series for 2022. Inspired by Fr. Tetlow’s new book of prayers, You Have Called Me by My Name, we’ll explore the Examen and direct our attention to Jesus’ experience of the Passion. This is a wonderful way to experience Lent during this Ignatian Year.
Join in an adapted version of the Spiritual Exercises, perfectly timed as a Lent and Easter retreat. This year Eric A. Clayton, author of Cannonball Moments, will share his experiences with the retreat through posts on Wednesdays. The retreat begins on the Sunday before Ash Wednesday (February 27) and concludes the week after Easter.
Plan now to join a special Lenten read-along with Loyola Press. We’ll be reading Braving the Thin Places: Celtic Wisdom to Create a Space for Grace at a relaxed pace that will give us time to savor what we read during the weeks of Lent. The book, by storyteller and retreat leader Julianne Stanz, invites us to explore the thin places, where God’s grace is waiting to happen.
